At More Than Words Tuition, we believe every child and young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of the barriers they may face.
We provide specialist educational support, dyslexia assessments and confidence-building fitness sessions for learners aged 5–16. Our approach focuses on understanding each child as an individual, recognising their strengths and providing the right support to help them achieve their potential.

Maeve Ryan, Founder | Specialist Teacher | Dyslexia Assessor
More Than Words Tuition was founded by Maeve Ryan, a qualified teacher and specialist practitioner with a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Maeve has experience supporting learners across primary and secondary education, including children with dyslexia, literacy difficulties, additional learning needs and confidence challenges.
Her specialist qualifications include:
PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia
Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Assessing with Dyslexia

Through a combination of teaching experience, specialist training and a child-centred approach, Maeve provides support that is personalised, evidence-informed and focused on helping learners become confident and independent.
